Raymond Russel- Class of 1945
I graduated from RHMS and later graduated from SPHS in 1949. I continued my education by going to Tenn Tech for a BS in Electrical Engineering. I went to work for IBM in 1957. While working in Lexington, Ky I earned a degree of MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. I spent over 30 years with IBM and upon retiring, I took a position as Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas. I taught primarily freshmen Electrical Engineering students in their first classes in Electrical Engineering. After teaching for about 14 years at the University of Texas, I am now fully retired.
I am probably one of your more ancient alumni. I will be 85 this coming July, and I owe a great deal of gratitude to RHMS for getting me off to a good start in my academic career.
