Brandt Tate – Class of 2015
On May 11, 2018, Brandt Tate will be graduating from UTK with his Bachelors degree in Environmental and Soil Science with a minor in Watershed. Brandt has been awarded a tuition waiver and $32,000 stipend (full ride) at UTK for his Masters degree in Biosystems Engineering Technology starting after graduation. He will be doing soil and hydrology research in West Tennessee and Mississippi for his thesis. He will also be using GIS and soil monitoring systems to develop software, maps, and computer programs for farmers and agriculture. He has graduated in 3 years, been on the Deans List, has over 150 service hours, he’s the Website/ Social Media Director of UT Recycling, and a Soil Microbiology/Pathology research assistant in UT’s EBB Department.
